Saginaw Career Complex is Saginaw County’s award winning Career and Technical Center for high school juniors and seniors. SCC is committed to providing a quality learning environment for all students and, with business and labor partnerships, offers challenging hands-on curriculum to prepare students for college, advanced technical training, or skilled entry-level work.
In today’s global and technology-driven economy, employers expect employees at all levels to have 21st Century employability skills which include the ability to: apply knowledge, think creatively, solve complex problems, work in teams, excel in using technology, and learn continuously. Most importantly, employees are expected to come to work prepared with these skills, which change constantly. In order to be productive, students need to learn to adapt workplace knowledge, skills and experience.
The staff at SCC works closely with advisory committees to ensure students learn in real world, technology-rich labs. This learning environment gives them a head start in preparing for high-skill, high-wage careers.
Partially funded under the Carl D. Perkins Grant, SCC programs are held to high Core Performance Indicators set by federal guidelines.
