Program Description

This rigourous Tech Prep program prepares students for success in today's high-tech business careers. In addition to becoming a computer applications specialist, the student will be prepared to enter the workforce or college with a basic understanding of business theory, management, finance, accounting, office supervision, and organization. Students are expected to be computer literate users of applications and the intenet, and to meet industry certification standards in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, communication, web development, and accounting software.

Special Features

  • Students may participate in BPA (Business Professionals of America), a national organization that provides opportunities to develop teamwork, personal leadership, and career skills valued by employers.
  • Delta College Skill Day Competitions.
  • 12th grade students will complete and present senior projects
  • Students will work toward industry certification standards in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, communication, we development, and accounting software.
  • Unpaid work experience
  • Co-op and Paid Work Experience may be available.
