Heavy Equipment Operation/Repair
Program Description
If you have always had an interest in vehicles, but on a big scale, get the technical expertise you need to step into the world of heavy equipment operation and repair. The Saginaw Career Complex is partnership with one of the area's premier heavy- equipment suppliers, AIS Construction Equipment, is offering students an opportunity to get the best heavy-equipment operator and repair training in the state. In this practical, hands-on program, students will receive the necessary know-how to safely and efficiently operate and maintain large equipment. This two-year program is offered at the AIS Constuction Training Facility in Bridgeport.

Operate and maintain skid steer, backhoe, wheel loader, excavator, bulldozer and forklift

Students may participate in SkillsUSA, a national organization that provides opportunities to develop teamwork, personal leadership, and career skills needed by employers

Proper work clothes
Students are responsible for their own transporation to the AIS Construction Training Center in Bridgeport, MI.
Ability to read, understand, and apply technical information.
Good muscular and eye-hand coordination, physical stamina and strength.
Must adhere to all MIOSHA, OSHA, and state & federal rules and regulations
Text reading level: 11th grade
