Counseling

SCC counseling services follow the Michigan Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Program model. The components are:

1. Guidance curriculum, which deals with career planning and exploration, knowledge of self and others, and college/career-technical development, delivered through classroom activities.
2. Individual planning consists of activities that help students plan, monitor, and manage their own learning and career development.
3. Responsive services help students to meet immediate needs and concerns such as personal counseling.
4. Systems Support are management activities that establish, maintain, and enhance the total guidance and counseling program.
